With 15+ years of experience spanning brand strategy, creative direction, and leadership development, Andy knows the pressure of a stalled career, so he set out to create the resources he wished he always had. He’s shifting creative leaders from corporate chaos to creative flow so everyone can create with more heart and purpose.

Creative Taxi founder Andy Newman's background is the definition of street-tested and boardroom-approved:
Scaled Community: Spent a decade at Big Cartel supporting $2.5B+ in artist sales.
Built Standards: Pilot team member for a customer-education role at Apple, now a global standard.
Lived Experience: Navigated product launches under Steve Jobs, pitched major pubs like The Atlantic, and learned the hard way that relentless pace leads to burnout.
Along the way, Andy lost 100 pounds, found his inner peace, raised 3 kids with his high school sweetheart, and realized his true spark as a leader was prioritizing people over profit while telling stories with impact.
Now he’s building Creative Taxi to be the resource he wished he had: a creative space that values your energy as much as your output, while making resources more available to more creatives.
Protect Your Spark was born from this lived experience and five years of research on the future of work, managing organizational change, and what makes enduring leadership. As an active member of the Small Giants Community, he’s continued to advocate for creative workers and wellness globally. He’s completed various certifications throughout his career, including the Small Giants Leadership Academy and Goodwill Career Navigating & Coaching Certification.
In our interactive session, you’ll uncover where spark leaks might be happening and steps to reclaim yours. We’ll cover what boundaries are, what they aren’t, and translate them into terms that make sense for creative work.
You’ll leave with one boundary you can implement right away to improve your creative process. We’ll follow up with goal-setting resources, inspo + more support for the road ahead.
