Giving creativity a permanent parking spot in Ohio.

We would like to acknowledge our programs take place on the ancestral and current land of Shawnee, Potawatomi, Delaware, Miami, Peoria, Seneca, Wyandotte, Ojibwe, and Cherokee peoples. Our state name Ohio originates from ‘ohi-yo,’ the Iroquoian word meaning ‘good rivers.’ We stand in solidarity with displaced peoples globally and seek to respect the past, present, and future of our shared spaces. While nothing is truly permanent, we believe through the preservation of culture, healing through art, and connection through storytelling, our future will honor our ancestors wildest dreams. Thank you Urban Native Collective and Native American Indian Center of Central Ohio for your helpful resources and powerful advocacy.

Creative Taxi contributes a portion of all proceeds to Boardman Arts Park, an all ages, volunteer-led 501(c)(3) park located in Delaware, Ohio, dedicated to building community through art and creativity.

I founded Creative Taxi because I believe:

  1. Everyone is creative.

  2. Creative thought is one of our most valuable resources.

After nearly twenty years leading creative projects, with the last five getting executive coaching and consulting across teams, including on $100M brand strategy, I still saw the same thing everywhere:

Creative is way undervalued.

I saw videos I produced for $1,000 go viral and build new lines of business for a company — over a decade after we produced them.

I saw waves of layoffs at profitable companies disguised as “efficiency” push good people into unexpected transition, burnout, and worse.

I met with creatives weekly, many still fending off burnout, all asking the same question: "Is it like this everywhere?"

The answer: somewhere in between.

Creative Taxi exists to connect the “in-between” for the creative leaders who still show up with heart. A place to help creatives feel seen and  validated boldly on the way to your destination; to connect you with the right folks, the right jobs, and the right purpose-driven work.

In Creative Taxi’s “Year Zero” Impact Report, in partnership with Union Blue & Co., you helped build the engine.

Accelerating Creativity in Numbers:

  • $18,000+ paid directly to artists, solopreneurs, and small businesses for creative work globally. (Excluding all record store spending!! Shout out to Gary of Pat’s Endangered Species Record Store, part inspo for Cabbie. 😸)

  • $1,700+ contributed to Boardman Arts Park in Delaware, Ohio, to help build permanent spaces for art, music, and community connection.

  • 5+ countries of creative collaboration, including artists from Canada, Africa, the Philippines, Romania, and the United States. (California, Hawaii, Texas, Michigan, Ohio, New Jersey, and more)

  • Creativity accelerated every day for 6 months: 1:1 mentoring and career coaching, leading to new jobs, six-month promotions, and guest spots on dream podcasts. (In our first six months!)

Proof we can build different.

The Newman Family first joined Boardman as members, and soon followed up with additional donations — our kids couldn’t visit the park enough for a weekend playdate or to enjoy those extra hot summer days.

Funds raised help pay for local artists to make new art, teach interactive art-making workshops, host and maintain an outdoor gallery, garden library, and so much more — every dollar counts in a way that’s hard to capture in words, pictures, or even a video.

It’s a gem of Delaware and a credit to the leaders and artists who have led the way, including Executive Director Roxanne Amidon and Marketing Lead Rachael Montunnas.

The progress at the park has been stunning, and we’re incredibly proud to play a part in getting artists where they want to go — in ‘26 and beyond we’ll be cruisin’ to the park, and there’s space for your art!

In 2026, you’ll see this iridescent brick (and more!) from Creative Taxi when you visit the Whimsy Venue for a concert. Snap a pic + tag @hailcreativetaxi, who knows what might happen! 🔮

Located in Downtown Delaware by Ohio Wesleyan University, the park is a reclaimed space filled with interactive art, a kids play area, and the forthcoming 2,000-capacity Whimsy Venue at Ohio’s Quirkiest Park. 🫧

Visit boardmanartspark.org to learn more about this initiative, and join us: contribute below to support new creations in a protected community space. The Whimsy Venue brings a potential $7.5M economic impact to Delaware, and we’re bringing art and artists.

Community -> workforce -> economy 🏁 a framework from Milly Tamati, founder of Generalist World

With your support, at our next $1,000 giving milestone, we’d love to sponsor the caterpillar tire art: Cabbie the Tired Caterpillar??

Sponsorships fund development of the Whimsy Venue (pictured), pay artists for new creations and live art during events, like the wonderful face-painting of Fairy Kissed Faces, and keep access free to the public for many events, open exploration, and business meetings (with WiFi) for over 28,000 visitors each year.

Our ‘26 Vision

The Crew will replace a few old bikes and trikes, and as we scratch the dough together, build Creative Taxi HQ’s Garage for the wheels.

(We do love holding the most chill, kid-friendly meetings there. Wanna check it out?)
